I don't know exactly your problem, but avoid GET DISC FONT command.
If you have a hd, with probably a *lot* of fonts, it's VERY sloooowwww.
Try AMCAF extension (you can find a demo version on Aminet): it has some
commands to handle fonts in a very easy and fast way!
